France and Europe from Bangalore: Flights, the Visa Centre and Real Prices
Bengaluru gives a South Indian traveller the widest routing choice in the region and a France visa centre in the same city — two advantages the national operators never spell out on their Bangalore pages.
In short
Bangalore (BLR) has the broadest flight choice in South India but no nonstop to Paris — you connect through a Gulf or European hub, with returns of ₹55,000–85,000 in season. Unlike most of the south, Bengaluru has its own France VFS centre, so the EUR 90 visa appointment is a morning in your city rather than a day's travel away.

Bangalore to Paris: the routings that actually exist
The third column is an aggregator entry price, not a return fare on your dates. The fourth column is what to budget for a return.
| Routing | How it works | Published entry fare | Plan on, return |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gulf hub — Emirates via Dubai, Qatar via Doha, Etihad via Abu Dhabi | Short first leg out of BLR, a connection at the hub, then the long sector into Charles de Gaulle | from ₹20,489 teaser | ₹55,000 – 85,000 in season · ₹35,000 – 50,000 off |
| Delhi feed onto the nonstop | Domestic BLR–DEL, then Air India AI147/AI143 or Air France AF283 (00:50 departure) nonstop to Paris, about 11 h 10 airborne | — | ₹55,000 – 85,000 in season |
| European hub — Lufthansa via Frankfurt, Turkish via Istanbul | A long first leg and a shorter second one into Paris | — | Priced to compete rather than to be cheapest; worth a live check |
| One-airline connection — Air India via Delhi, Air France via a Delhi or Bengaluru feed | A single ticket, a single baggage check, one carrier to chase if a leg slips | Air India BLR–Paris seen around ₹83,480 | Often the calmer choice for a first-time international flyer |
The France visa centre is in Bengaluru — and that changes the maths
France runs its Indian visa operation through VFS Global across 14 application centres, and Bengaluru is one of them. That single fact is worth more to a Bangalore traveller than any amount of package copy, because it removes the biggest hidden cost in a South Indian France application: the journey to the centre.
Compare the position with the rest of the state. Applicants from Coimbatore, Madurai, Trichy, Salem and Erode have no centre of their own and must travel to Chennai or Bengaluru — usually an overnight stay, leave taken for every adult in the party, and a fixed slot that cannot easily be moved. For a Bengaluru resident, the appointment is a morning. You can also afford to book an earlier slot and absorb a reschedule, a flexibility that out-of-town families simply do not have.
The fees are the same wherever you apply: EUR 90 for an adult, EUR 45 for a child aged 6 to 11, free under 6, plus a VFS service charge of roughly ₹2,202. Fingerprints and a photograph are taken on site, with applicants under 12 exempt. Applications are accepted no earlier than six months before travel and at least five days before departure, and processing is commonly quoted at 15 to 30 days. Travel insurance with at least EUR 30,000 of medical cover is mandatory and is not part of the visa fee.
What a Bangalore departure gets you
Routing choice
- Three Gulf carriers with frequent daily service, the practical default out of BLR
- A Delhi feed onto the only nonstop sector India has to Paris when a connection matters more than price
- European hubs through Frankfurt and Istanbul as a priced-to-compete middle option
- Open-jaw itineraries — into Paris, home from Nice — that save a full day on a seven-night trip
Visa logistics
- The France centre is in your own city — the appointment is a morning, not an expedition
- Room to take an earlier slot and absorb a reschedule, which out-of-town applicants cannot
- Adult fee EUR 90, ages 6–11 EUR 45, under 6 free, plus about ₹2,202 in VFS charges
- Mandatory insurance with EUR 30,000 medical cover arranged alongside the file
What we add
- Tamil, English or Hindi from the Coimbatore office, 6 am to 11 pm, every day
- Every price in rupees with the exclusions printed — the market norm is a number behind a form
- A document check before the appointment, because most refusals are documentation failures, not money failures
- Tamil-speaking guides bookable in Paris and Indian food written into the itinerary, not left to the evening

Why a Coimbatore operator is writing Bangalore's page
A fair question, and the answer is the reason this site exists. Every national operator has a Bengaluru page — the giants count hundreds of Europe-from-Bangalore packages between them. We have read the pages. The URL says Bangalore, the heading says Bangalore, and the body is generic Europe copy: no BLR routing, no mention that the France visa centre sits in the city, and a FAQ written for all of India.
Bengaluru deserves better than that, because its travellers have genuinely different questions from a Mumbai or Delhi buyer. Which hub out of BLR, Gulf or European? Is the Delhi feed worth it for the nonstop, or does a Gulf connection win on both time and money? How full is the Bengaluru visa centre in the weeks you want? Those are answerable questions, and we answer them in rupees, in Tamil, English or Hindi, from an office a few hours down the road in Coimbatore. That is the whole claim — no inventory you cannot see, no price behind a form.
Questions we answer daily
Are there Europe tour packages from Bangalore?
Yes. France packages from Bangalore run ₹74,500 to ₹1,60,000 per person for the common shapes, land only, with the BLR–Paris fare quoted live on your dates. Longer Europe multi-country tours of nine to twelve nights run ₹1,65,000 to ₹3,05,000 depending on the countries and whether flights are included.
Is there a direct flight from Bangalore to Paris?
No. There is no nonstop service from BLR to Paris, despite Bengaluru being one of India's busiest international airports. You connect through a Gulf hub — Dubai, Doha or Abu Dhabi — or feed to Delhi for India's only nonstop, Air France AF283 at 00:50 or Air India AI147/AI143, about eleven hours ten minutes airborne.
How much is a flight from Bangalore to Paris?
Published entry fares from BLR start around ₹20,489, but that is an aggregator teaser rather than a return on your dates; Air India's one-airline connection has been seen near ₹83,480. Budget ₹55,000 to ₹85,000 for a return in season and ₹35,000 to ₹50,000 off-season. Market round-trips have run from ₹31,000 to ₹92,000.
Is there a France visa centre in Bangalore?
Yes. France runs 14 visa application centres across India through VFS Global, and Bengaluru is one of them — so a Bangalore applicant does not have to travel to another city. The fee is EUR 90 for an adult, EUR 45 for ages 6 to 11, free under 6, plus a VFS service charge of about ₹2,202.
How long does a France visa take from Bangalore?
Processing is commonly quoted at 15 to 30 days once biometrics are given. You can apply no earlier than six months before travel and must apply at least five days before departure, so the practical window is to file roughly two to three months ahead. We check your documents before the Bengaluru appointment, because most refusals are paperwork failures.
What is the all-in France visa cost from Bangalore?
Plan on roughly ₹10,500 all-in per adult at the budget end, ₹14,400 typically and ₹22,800 at the premium end — that covers the EUR 90 fee, the ₹2,202 VFS charge, photos, insurance with EUR 30,000 medical cover, and courier return. A family of four lands around ₹42,000 to ₹48,000.
Can I add Switzerland to a France trip from Bangalore?
Yes, and it is the single most popular combination in the Indian market now that Switzerland outranks France as the top Schengen destination for Indians. A Paris plus Switzerland trip of six to eight nights runs ₹1,35,000 to ₹2,75,000 per person; count the nights by country before you file, because the visa goes to wherever you spend the most.
