France Honeymoon Packages, Priced in Rupees and Timed to the Season

Three shapes of honeymoon, three price points, and one piece of timing advice that will save you more money than any of them.

In short

France honeymoon packages run ₹92,000 to ₹1,64,000 per person, twin sharing, land only — roughly ₹92,000 for five nights in Paris and around ₹1,64,000 for six nights across Paris and the Riviera. International airfare of ₹55,000–85,000 return in season and the EUR 90 Schengen fee are quoted separately.

The three honeymoons we build

Same country, three quite different weeks. The right one depends far more on how you like to travel than on the budget.

ShapeNightsBand, per personWhy you would choose it
Paris, and only Paris5Nfrom about ₹92,000One hotel, no packing, five unhurried days. The best honeymoon for couples who would rather go deep than wide, and the cheapest of the three
Paris + the French Riviera6N – 7Nup to about ₹1,64,000Two completely different Frances in one week — the city, then the Mediterranean. The most popular of the three and the one we recommend most often
Paris + Switzerland7N – 8N₹1,35,000 – 2,75,000The Alps as the second half. Note the visa rule below before you commit — this shape can move your application to a different country
Bands compiled September 2026Per person on twin sharing, land only unless the row says otherwise. Bands are indicative, not a quote: the airfare on your dates, the hotel category and the departure city move the total. July–August and the Dec–Jan holidays price at the top of every band; late September and February at the bottom.

Paris and the Riviera, night by night

Nights 1–4 — Paris

Arrival day written off as an arrival day, then the Eiffel Tower with a booked slot, the Louvre with a shortlist, Versailles and its gardens, and an evening Seine cruise. Four Paris nights is the point at which the city stops being a checklist and starts being somewhere you have spent time. Dinners are yours to choose; we will put the Indian options on the map for the night nobody wants another French menu.

Night 5 — The train south

High-speed rail to Nice, most of a morning, arriving for lunch on the Mediterranean. The change of register in a single morning is the whole argument for this shape of honeymoon: you get the grandest city in Europe and a coastline, in one week, without an internal flight.

Nights 5–6 — The Riviera

Nice, the old town and the Promenade, with a coastal run to Cannes and Monaco if you want it and a day of doing very little if you do not. The Riviera stays warm well into October, which is why a late-September honeymoon works better here than almost anywhere else in France.

Departure — from Nice

Nice has its own airport, so you fly home from the coast rather than backtracking to Paris. On a six-night honeymoon that saves a full day, and a day is a meaningful fraction of a honeymoon.

The timing advice that actually saves you money

South Indian wedding seasons feed straight into the April-to-June travel window, which is also the best overall window in France — mild, long days, pre-peak pricing. That is good news and it comes with a catch: everyone else in this market is doing the same thing at the same time.

Indian enquiries for the April–June season peak in December, January and February. If you are booking a May honeymoon in March, the mid-range hotels in the romantic locations are already gone, and what is left is priced accordingly. Book in December for May and the same budget buys a materially better hotel.

If the wedding date gives you any flexibility at all, the single best honeymoon window in France is late September to mid-October. Harvest season, thinner crowds, softer prices, weather that is still comfortable, and a Riviera that is still warm. Nobody markets it to Indian couples, which is exactly why it is available. We will say the same thing about July and August that we say everywhere else on this site: hottest, busiest, dearest, all at once. A honeymoon is the worst trip to spend standing in queues.

The visa paperwork nobody warns newly married couples about

A honeymoon file has one complication a normal tourist file does not: the two applicants are newly married, often with a passport in a maiden name, sometimes with a shared bank account that is three weeks old, and usually with one spouse being funded by the other.

None of that is a problem. All of it needs to be documented rather than assumed, and that is where honeymoon applications quietly go wrong.

  • The marriage certificate goes in the file, and so does an explanation of any name difference between the certificate, the passport and the bank statements. Do not leave the officer to work it out.
  • If one spouse is funding the trip, that is sponsorship and it is documented as sponsorship — the sponsor's statements, ITR and income proof, and proof of the relationship. A joint account opened last month is not, on its own, financial evidence.
  • Ties to India are assessed for both applicants separately. A spouse who has just left a job to move cities is the weaker file of the two, and that is worth strengthening deliberately rather than discovering at the decision.
  • Apply early. Wedding months are busy months, and 15 to 30 days of processing on top of a wedding is not a combination you want to be managing in the same fortnight.

One in six Indian Schengen applications does not result in a visa. A honeymoon is the single worst trip to have that happen to, which is why we run the document check on honeymoon files before anything else in the booking moves.

Romantic add-ons we can price, and one we will talk you out of

Worth the money

  • An evening Seine cruise — the most obvious item in Paris and the one nobody regrets
  • A night in a Loire château rather than a Paris hotel, which costs less than people assume and is the photograph you keep
  • A private coastal drive on the Riviera to Cannes and Monaco, which turns a beach day into a proper outing
  • A vineyard visit in September or October, when the harvest is actually happening rather than being described to you

Think twice

  • A third country in seven nights — the honeymoon becomes a transport schedule and the second country gets a day and a half
  • July and August dates when the wedding allows anything else; peak crowds are the opposite of what a honeymoon is for
  • A packed daily itinerary — the most common honeymoon regret we hear is not seeing too little, it is never having an unplanned afternoon
  • Paying for an Eiffel-view room in a hotel you will barely be in; the money usually goes further on the Riviera nights

Questions we answer daily

How much does a France honeymoon cost from India?

₹92,000 to ₹1,64,000 per person, twin sharing, land only — roughly ₹92,000 for five nights in Paris and about ₹1,64,000 for six nights across Paris and the Riviera. Add ₹55,000 to ₹85,000 per person for in-season return airfare and EUR 90 each for the Schengen visa.

What is the best time for a France honeymoon?

April to June for weather and daylight, which is also when South Indian wedding seasons deliver most couples. Late September to mid-October is the better value by a distance: similar weather, far fewer people, softer prices, and a Riviera that is still warm. Both windows price inside the same ₹92,000 to ₹1,64,000 band, so October usually buys a better hotel.

Paris only, or Paris and Nice?

Paris only at around ₹92,000 for five nights suits couples who would rather go deep than wide, and it means one hotel and no packing. Paris plus the Riviera at up to about ₹1,64,000 gives you a city and a coastline in one week, and it is the shape we recommend most often.

Do we need the marriage certificate for the visa?

Put it in the file, along with an explanation of any name difference between the certificate, the passports and the bank statements. If one spouse is funding the trip, document that as sponsorship with the sponsor's statements, ITR and income proof rather than relying on a recently opened joint account. About 1 in 6 Indian applications is refused, and a honeymoon is the worst trip for that.

When should we apply for the visa if we are travelling right after the wedding?

Earlier than feels necessary. Processing is commonly 15 to 30 days and applications are accepted from six months before travel, so file ten to twelve weeks out. Managing a refusal and a wedding in the same fortnight is the situation this advice exists to prevent.

Can we add Switzerland to a France honeymoon?

Yes, at ₹1,35,000 to ₹2,75,000 for seven to eight nights. Check the night count first: if you spend more nights in Switzerland than in France, your Schengen application belongs to Switzerland, not France. Applying at the wrong consulate is a listed refusal cause and honeymoon itineraries split close.

Are honeymoon room upgrades guaranteed?

We request them and we do not guarantee them, because hotels do not guarantee them to us. Anyone promising you a guaranteed upgrade in writing is promising something they do not control. What we can guarantee is that the request is made, on the booking, with the dates and the occasion stated. What is fixed is the price: ₹92,000 to ₹1,64,000 per person, exclusions printed.

Is a France honeymoon worth it compared with Switzerland alone?

France gives you more variety for the money on a short trip — a city, a coast and a countryside, all reachable by train. Switzerland is the better single-landscape trip. If the Alps are the point, do Switzerland properly rather than adding two Alpine nights to a Paris week. France honeymoons run ₹92,000 to ₹1,64,000; Paris with Switzerland runs ₹1,35,000 to ₹2,75,000.
